Auction Estimate
Prior to accepting a consignment we would examine your property to provide you with an idea of the fair market value. These appraisals are free of charge and can be conducted in several ways:
Photographs
Photographs with descriptions, including dimensions, markings, medium, condition and provenance can be sent via email to appraisals@freemansauction.com or by mail to the attention of the Appraisal Department. Please be sure to include all your contact information. The appropriate specialist will review the information and you will receive a timely response. Estimates given based upon the examination of photographs alone are not binding, and may be subject to change upon first-hand examination.

Consignment
Expert cataloguing and comprehensive marketing - incorporating direct mail, print advertising, promotional events and industry-leading utilization of internet resources - ensure that your consignment will be exposed to the largest possible audience of qualified buyers.

Charges
Standard charges include consignor's commission, photography, internet, insurance and transportation. Exact terms may be discussed with your specialist contact. Potential consignments of significant value will be addressed by a comprehensive proposal including a full marketing plan.
Transportation
We need to have your property on our premises far enough in advance of the sale to catalogue, photograph and promote it properly - usually at least six weeks prior to the sale date. Pre-Sale Notification
Prior to any sale you will receive your complimentary catalogue along with a pre-sale notification indicating which lots will be offered in the upcoming auction. Each lot will have the final pre-sale low to high estimates which have been determined by the specialist after thorough examination of your property.
Reserves
When appropriate, a reserve (a price below which an item will not be sold) may be placed upon individual items. Reserves cannot exceed low estimate and will not be accepted for items valued at less than $500.
